Johan Boakes, President of Global Shareholder Services^®, was born in Switzerland and raised in France and England. He is fluent in English, French, and Swedish and conversational in Spanish and German.

With over 35 years of experience working in foreign unclaimed property and owner location, he oversees the company’s industry leading Pre-escheat International Lost owner Location & Asset Reunification Service ™ (PILLARS™) program. Corporate and individual clients alike seek out his assistance to resolve foreign unclaimed property assignments worldwide.

Office Manager

Nicole is an Ohio native who moved to Florida to attend her undergraduate studies. In 2006, she graduated from Florida Southern College with a dual degree in Criminology and Sociology. Nicole resides in Safety Harbor with her husband and two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her boys grow. In her free time and loves paddle boarding and spending time outdoors.

Peder

Research Analyst

Peder has a natural curiosity and tenacity that Global Shareholder Services CEO, Johan Boakes, identified as a skill that could prove useful as a research analyst with his organization. Johan and Peder have been close friends for over 35-years. In 2025, when the opportunity arose, Peder joined the GSS team. Within the first two weeks on the job, he successfully located the owners/heirs of over $500,000.00 USD in unclaimed assets. Peder enjoys the challenge of finding people around the world and the feeling of accomplishment when he is able to reunite owners and heirs with money they thought was lost forever, or didn’t even know existed.

Dave

Research Analyst

Dave is a retired UK police officer, a trace expert and has been working as a UK case specialist for Global Shareholder Services since 2015. Dave first met Johan in the UK while both were young boys, running track. They have remained close friends for over 40-years. Dave enjoys meeting with the people GSS researchers have located to advise them of their unclaimed property. Dave is a proud father and an avid sports enthusiast.

Sylvia

Research Analyst

Sylvia has been part of the Global Shareholder Services team since 2007, working as a Latin America Researcher. She studied English, French, and Human Nutrition at the Universidad Católica del Ecuador, and later continued her English studies at Santa Ana College in California. With a deep love for languages and regional research, she brings both experience and passion to her work. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her hiking with her family and enjoying the outdoors.

Chelsie

Corporate Counsel

Chelsie Lamie is a Florida licensed attorney and Florida Supreme Court certified mediator. She is the founder of a successful law practice and mother to two boys, Michael & Henry. Chelsie met GSS CEO, Johan Boakes, in 2020 and they married in 2023. In 2024, Chelsie joined GSS as Corporate Counsel. Chelsie & Johan split their time between their homes in Florida and Spain. They enjoy scuba diving, travel, and take great pride in their two sons, two rescue cats and two rescue dogs
